Jason Handman

Class of 2007, Bachelor's

Jason Handman started at WOIO/WUAB in October 2009.  He came to Cleveland from AccuWeather, where Jason presented weather for Bloomberg Television and local affiliates across the country.  Additionally, Jason covered winter and tropical storms on location.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Jason started his weather career in high school, where he presented a live weather report to the entire school on the televised morning announcements.
After high school, Jason headed west where he attended the University of Southern California. In Los Angeles, he interned with the Los Angeles ABC affiliate, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Sirius Satellite Radio, and worked for the world famous KROQ radio station. Additionally, Jason had the opportunity to do live weather, sports and entertainment reporting on The KTLA Morning Show.

Jason earned his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Southern California and completed meteorology courses with Mississippi State University.
In his spare time, Jason likes to play the piano, run, play tennis, go to Costco and travel. While he loves to eat, he is a terrible cook, and therefore looks forward to dining out!

Besides for rooting for his USC Trojans, Jason can’t wait to head to Cavs, Browns and Indians games. Jason is honored to be a part of the team bringing you Cleveland’s most accurate forecast.  He is thrilled to call Cleveland home.
