Jess Conner

Class of 2009, Master's



Jess Conner is currently producing for "CBS This Morning."

She formerly was an Associate Producer at CNN's Anderson Cooper 360°. She pitched stories for CNN's #1 primetime show and helped produce packages, guest segments and live show segments. She worked as the Control Room Associate Producer and wrote teases promoting the show. She started at AC360° as a Production Assistant in 2010. 

Before joining AC360°, she worked as a Video Journalist at CNN Headquarters in Atlanta. The entry level position had her working with directors, anchors and line producers both in the control room and in the studio. In addition to her VJ position, She wrote scripts for CNNI and assisted Researchers at the International Desk during breaking news. 

Jess graduated from USC ‘09 where she covered stories in Los Angeles for ATVN as a W/S/E and Reporter. In addition she interned for KNBC-LA’s “News Raw” and served as an Associate Producer for KPFK’s “The Insighters.”

ATVN was my training ground in journalism. Whether you are a producer, reporter, VJ, graphics artist or assignment editor at ATVN- those skills are transferable to a real job in journalism post-graduation!
