How did ATVN prepare you for your career?:
It’s the real deal… you just don’t get paid for it.
List any additional major(s) or minor(s) you had at USC. What impact have they had on your career?:
J402, J403 and internships were important too.
What is your advice to aspiring journalists?:
I’ve gotten both of the jobs I’ve had by being in the right place at the right time. I think the key is being ready when the opportunity comes up.
What should graduates keep in mind when negotiating their first job?:
There won’t be much negotiating. If you don’t want the job, someone else will. Just make sure you know what you are signing. Don’t take a job you don’t want hoping it will get better as you go.
