Lauren Lee, multimedia journalist and weathercaster, started at NBC7 in November 2013. She can be seen weathercasting on NBC7 News at 6 & 11 PM Weekends, and reporting throughout the week. Prior to moving to San Diego Lauren was a reporter, anchor, and weathercaster at KVAL in Eugene. She left Eugene over the Summer of 2013 to volunteer with a charity, teaching refugee children on the Thailand-Burma border. A Southern California native, Lee began her career in journalism in Los Angeles and Orange County.
Lee is active in her community and an avid traveler. She’s backpacked throughout Southeast Asia and lived in Hong Kong in 2009. She is a devoted contributor to the social media landscape, eager to keep people up to the minute with the latest happenings. Lauren also enjoys volunteering in the community whenever possible.
