TAGS:

Former USC quarterback Mitch Mustain was arrested by the LAPD West Valley station around 8 p.m. Tuesday. ESPN Los Angeles reports that Mustain posted bail shortly after 6pm this evening.

According to Roger Lodge of KLAA 830AM, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department arrested Mustain, 22, for allegedly selling prescription drugs online.  According to the police report, Mustain was arrested shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday night. Mustain’s bail was initially set at $30,000, but later reduced to $10,000. The former Trojan’s charge is listed as a felony.
Mustain was expected to participate in the 2011 NFL draft in April.

USC Sports Information Director Tim Tessalone declined to comment because Mustain is no longer a part of the team.
Booking information on Mustain is available on the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department website.

Mustain is the second former Trojan football player to be arrested this week. Minnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen has been charged with a misdemeanor after he allegedly ran from and assaulted a police officer during a traffic stop.
