Teases are a challenge

TAGS:

It is always a challenge to match the words written for the teases of the show with video that is edited for the teases. When I produce on my day, it is always a challenge for the person I assign to edit the video for the teases because I have yet to write them. So, when teases are edited and when the editor comes to report to me about the completed tease, I always ask him or her what video was used. This is so that my writing for the teases is in sync with the video. Both the writing and video have to make sense or else viewers will likely confused about the story.

I guess what I can do to have the writing and editing of the teases to match is to tell the editor beforehand what video I want in the tease. This will help prevent problems wit the video and words not matching. Communication is key between the editor and me in order for the teases to be in sync with the copy.
