Producers

What The Future Holds

Throughout the semester in 403, I have definitely decided that I want to pursue producing in the future. I have known for awhile that I wanted to have a career in producing because I love deciding what to cover and determining the course of stories. This class has helped me to solidify that decision because I have learned even more about what producing entails.

I have learned so much every week about each producing role in the Media Center. As the web producer, I have learned how to write and format social media posts in order to increase the number of views and users reached. As the graphics producer, I have learned how to work with the art producer to ensure that graphics look the right way and enhance the stories in the best way possible. As the video producer, I have learned how to manage the MJs and stay on top of all of the stories in the show. As the lead producer, I have learned how to completely format a show and make the final decision on all stories in the broadcast.

Overall, this class has been a great learning experience for me and has definitely finalized my desire to produce in the future. I look forward to learning even more during our last two weeks of shows.
