My Last Day as a Web/Graphics Teammate
My last day as a web/graphics teammate went really well. Tuesday’s web team posted a lot of great stories on our website.
Plus, we got the chance to cover a breaking news story when Rick Santorum decided to suspend his campaign. ATVN even broke the story before the L.A. Times did, which was really exciting.
I was also able to post a story that I wrote myself, which was really great because I was able to get an article on the website with my name on it.
Graphics went really well too. When I first started as graphics teammate I was a little nervous about coming up with creative OTS’s for our show. But, now I am confident that I can create a “catchy” two to three word phrase that sums up a news story, and a picture to complement it.
On my last day, I was able to create everything for graphics. I came up with the usual OTS’s and full screens, but I was also able to decide on a chroma key background and a lower-third graphic for our live shot.
I learned a lot in the past few months as web/graphics teammate, and it couldn’t have ended better. I learned so many different skill sets that I know will be useful to me in the future.
