And.....It's Gone

Time flew by this semester at ATVN as I reflect after successfully completing our last ATVN news show!  We had breaking news late in the day and had to update a story during our news segment because all three men were arrested in connection with a robbery while we were on the air.  We were able to create a mini-package continuing a package we ran a few weeks back about NFL concussions.  I personally am very interested in the story and I thought Derek did a great job with the original package and the follow-up.  We had trouble getting new interviews for him but worked the problem out by grabbing a local high school football coach to talk about how the NFL's rule change could have a trickle down affect on both the college and high school levels.  The show ran off without a hitch and I feel we as producers all grew tremendously throughout this experience.  I understand the vast experience I just gained in such a short time period because I was forced to organize, take action and make decisions in a leadership role.  The real world doesn't seem quite as scary to me anymore.  Now if I could just get a job everything will be perfect.....
