Bio: Not far from home, Elizabeth Donatelli grew-up in Alexandria, Virginia, but spent part of her summers in southwest Virginia. She graduated with a BA in Broadcast Journalism and minor in Critical Approaches to Leadership from the University of Southern California. She spent the summer living and working in politics in New York City.
While starting out, Elizabeth worked for MSNBC’s “Hardball with Chris Matthews” and the ABC Owned Television group in Washington, DC. She was also a reporter for Torrance CitiCABLE Channel 3 and USC’s Annenberg TV News where she covered events from the California Recall Election to Kobe Bryant’s trial.
In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys watching sports, being active, and going to the theater. She’s excited to be in Charlottesville where the community characterizes the city, and can’t wait to become more involved.

student to reporter incredibly easy.
What is your advice to aspiring journalists?
Be sure to take advantage of being in a small market and
learn everything you can from operating a camera, to floor
directing, to fill-in anchoring.
