Bio: Gabriel joined the NewsChannel 10 team as a reporter in August 2007. He comes from Sunny San Diego, where he worked as a writer for KNSD, the NBC affiliate there. Before that, he worked as a writer for KNX Radio in Los Angeles, which broadcasts throughout Southern California.
He is a proud graduate of the University of Southern California, home of the Trojans. He double majored in Broadcast Journalism and International Relations, with a minor in Spanish. He studied abroad in Madrid, Spain for a semester, and also interned for the academic journal, Foreign Affairs en Español, in Mexico City.
At USC he worked for the campus news station, Annenberg TV News. That’s where he covered several big news stories: the prison riots in Los Angeles, the massive immigration marches, and the California Gubernatorial election.
Gabriel is a Southern Californian native, but is excited to be living in Amarillo. He’s also looking forward to experiencing four different seasons (San Diego is stuck on summer). He vows to continue NewsChannel’s commitment to give viewers in the Panhandle the news stories that are important to them.
