Bio:

I grew up in sunny California and have now decided to make the Midwest my home. I received my degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of California, in Los Angeles.

I began my career with the CBS affiliate in Tucson, Arizona as an assignment editor, then it was on to the sunflower state.  For the last three years I have covered the four states for the CBS affiliate in Pittsburg, Kansas.

People ask me which I would take - an earthquake or a tornado.  I say earthquake any day.  The weather out here is so different, but I have been able to cover some amazing stories from flooding and ice storms to tornadoes.

Reporting is my passion! I love to meet new people and tell a good story. I am very excited to be joining the OzarksFirst team and look forward to bringing you the news that matters.

Its all about the basic and I definitely got it at ATVN.

What is your advice to aspiring journalists?

Don’t give up! Take the applause and the criticism.
Have fun and don’t forget why you wanted to do this in the first place.

What is the most important thing a college journalist should know when he or she is trying to negotiate his or her first job?

They basically think we’ll work for free and they will offer you nothing. It never hurts to ask for more.
