Bio: After graduating from USC, Kristen started working as a freelance entertainment reporter for Orange County TV. She also picked up producing jobs with other companies such WireImage Video and Celebrity Footage. Recently she has been seen on YoungHollywood.com and Vlaze.com interviewing celebrities and up and coming musicians. She is still working as a freelance reporter for numerous companies and websites.

How did ATVN prepare you for your current job?
ATVN prepared me immensely for my current jobs. Knowing how to edit, write, and produce your own packages gives you a leg up on the competition.
What is your advice to aspiring journalists?
Make things happen on your own. Don’t wait for things to come to you because you will be waiting a long time.
What are the top three skills college journalism students should be working on in order to be prepared for their first broadcasting job?
Know how to write, edit, and produce.
What is the most important thing a college journalist should know when he or she is trying to negotiate his or her first job?
Offer to do it all and be a one man team.
