Bio: Rachel joined FOX 17 WXMI in April 2004 and is the Weekend Co-Anchor/Reporter for FOX 17 News at Ten.
Prior to coming to FOX 17, Rachel was the health reporter/weekend morning anchor at WILX-TV in Lansing. Rachel also worked as the noon/morning anchor and reporter for KGWN-TV in Cheyenne, Wyoming from 2000-2001 and as a production assistant for “NBA Inside Stuff” in 1999.
A native of Michigan, Rachel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California. She is a rabid fan of the USC Trojans and enjoys traveling and playing tennis.

What is your advice to aspiring journalists?
My experience at ATVN was probably the best preparation for the news business. At ATVN, you had deadlines, you had to write well and write fast—which is exactly what they’ll want to see from you in a small market. Look at your time in that newsroom as a better experience than any internship in LA. Unless you intern in a small market where you are allowed to touch camera equipment, shoot stand-ups, and write and edit stories, ATVN is the closest you will get to
