Jeff Platt is a senior majoring in broadcast journalism in his third year at ATVN. He is ATVN’s Sports Director, and is thrilled to have the opportunity to be Monday’s sports anchor in the spring.
Over the last few semesters, Jeff has had experience in almost all areas of Annenberg TV News. Last year, he anchored in both news and sports, and also ran the assignment desk. Throughout his career at ATVN, Jeff has been a sports volunteer, with some great experiences covering all kinds of USC Trojans sporting events.
He has also interned at Good Morning America and in the sports department at WFAA (the ABC-affiliate in Dallas).
Jeff is from Dallas, TX and his favorite sports team is definitely, without a doubt, the Dallas Mavericks. He is also a big poker player. Jeff also has a passion for sports radio work as well. His favorite sportscasters are NBC/HBO’s Bob Costas, CBS’s Gus Johnson and ESPN/ABC’s Mike Tirico. Jeff hopes to pursue a career in which he can work both behind-the-scenes and on-the-air.
