Katie is a junior at USC with a major in broadcast journalism and a minor in art history. After college, she hopes to become a local TV news reporter or a field producer--she still hasn’t decided. No matter what path she chooses, Katie knows that she’ll be having fun because news is just that exciting!
At ATVN, Katie has volunteered for many different positions: assignment desk, w/s/e, associate producer, audio 1, assistant director. This semester, Katie is really excited to be a producer as well as technical director. Katie has also worked in the Special Projects Unit at KNBC in Burbank and loved it. She hopes to return this summer and, if she’s lucky, later on in her career.
Aside from journalism, Katie is actively involved in her on-campus Christian ministry, KCM. She loves learning languages, eating and being with people that make her happy.
