Trevor Thompson has worked at ATVN each semester for the past three years. In addition to his current role as a news anchor, Trevor has also anchored the show’s sports segment and served as a video journalist for the station. Trevor has spent time at KCBS/KCAL as an intern in their sports department as well, learning the ropes alongside the likes of Jim Hill and James Worthy.
In case you haven’t noticed thus far, he has a passion for sports and hopes to make a career as a sports broadcaster/reporter someday. His ultimate goal is to be a SportsCenter anchor, though he wouldn’t mind hosting his own political talk show one day (following in the footsteps of Keith Olbermann).
Trevor got into journalism in the first place because he has so many interests (in addition to his interest in sports) that he couldn’t decide what field he wanted to pursue wholeheartedly. So, he thought journalism would be a good way to stay involved in and on top of his areas of interest which include politics, literature, music, and technology.
