A Starstruck Game

By Jeremy Hall

September 23, 2008

Last Saturday’s highly anticipated game was nothing experts projected.  I was way off on my “fearless prediction.” But to give myself some credit, I did mention that it would be a long night if Chris Wells didn’t suit up for the Buckeyes.  Even with “Beanie” on the sideline, there was still plenty of star power on the field for both teams.  Mark Sanchez, Rey Maualuga, James Laurinaitis, Malcolm Jenkins, the list can go on and on.  This game also brought just as many stars off the field as there were stars on the field:

USC students packed the student section 3 hours before kickoff.

The Trojans meet up at midfield after their traditional “Trojan March.”

“Dye-hard” fans live for Sanchez.

Former Trojan and Heisman winner always making his presence felt at USC games.

Former Detroit Pistons point guard great and former GM of the New York Knicks, Isiah Thomas.

One-year Trojan, Nick Lachey, comes back to support his former school.

From now on Denzel Washington will Remember The Trojans.

Phoenix Suns star, Amare Stoudamire (2nd from Left), meets and greets USC fans.

Greg Oden still can’t bring any luck for the Buckeyes.
