The annual USC fountain run is set to begin Wednesday night on the corner of Hoover Street and Jefferson Boulevard at the “Finger Fountain.”

Participants from the Class of 2011 (and most likely a few of their non-senior friends) will begin running at 10 p.m. “with TigerBlood coursing through their veins,” according to the “Official 2011 Fountain Run” Facebook event.

The runners will then attempt to visit each one of the University Park Campus’ 29 fountains.

Official 2011 Fountain Run shirts are being sold online. The T-shirts are priced at $15 and tank tops are priced at $10.

Event organizers have asked all participants to wear shoes and not to carry any glass items during the run.

DPS has not commented on security measures being taken before and during the run.

The Senior Gift Advisory Board listed the Fountain Run in an e-mail suggesting events seniors can attend leading up to commencement. Other events included the Senior Scend Off at 5 p.m. Thursday in Argue Plaza and the Mobile Food Cart Tasting Event May 5.
