Obama's 'Attack Watch' Trends Nationwide

Obama launches AttackWatch.com to refute attacks.

"Get the facts. Fight the smears."

That is what President Obama's 2012 election campaign team aims to promote during the presidential campagin.

"The smears [against Obama] did not end with the 2008," Obama's team says. "President Obama's opponents are still using false claims against him and his record in an attempt to derail our momentum."

In response, the team launched the website AttackWatch.com with a goal of identifying attacks on Obama's policies and to quickly refute them.

The newly launched site and campaign appears similar to Obama's 2008 campaign website FightTheSmears.com.

Its features include a newsfeed of topics to discuss, a form to submit an "attack," "Attack Files," and a page to sign up for AttackWatch.com alerts.

AttackWatch.com is not only posting what they believe are facts, but they are also relying on Obama volunteers to report these "attacks" via mailform and tweeting with the hashtag #AttackWatch.

But the majority of Twitter users utilizing this hashtag seem to be making fun of Obama's latest initiative.

"@luvmy3suns: I gave my kids a Happy Meal...with a toy! #attackwatch #turningselfin," one person tweeted."

Another wrote, "@Keelorpse: Hey #attackwatch I was running with scissors this morning. I'd like to turn myself in."

The hashtag #AttackWatch has been trending nationwide throughout the morning.

COMMENTS

more evidence of desperation on the part of the Obama re-election team.

I think this is just bad, just more bull crap comming from Obama. I don't trust or beleive anything that obama say's or does. I feel he is trying to make everything GOV. run. And as we can see most things that are gov. run goes bad..It says that attackwatch.com only post what THEY BELEVE are facts. Just because someone beleives something don't mean it's true. Including myself, just because I beleive something don't mean it's true. Just like Bin Laden being dead. I never saw a dead body so I don't beleive it. Just like Santa Clause alot of kids beleive in Santa, but ask daddy and mommy who worker to pay for the gifts that Santa supposeably brought. How many things do Candidates promise on their way to the elections, and seldom, very seldom is it ever true. Just like UFo's I never saw one, and was in Phoenix and saw the lights in the sky on one of the most controversal UFO sightings, but of course I didn't beleive it from the start. I saw the light formations, but no alaiens came out and said hi. I think Candidates should be on Ripleys beleive it or not. Thank you..
