Heal the Bay Teaches Kids a Solution to Ocean Pollution

 

Students learned about ocean pollution and competed for prizes as they cleaned up the coast.

Over 700 students from schools in Los Angeles County participated in Heal the Bay's Coastal Cleanup Education Day on Tuesday at Santa Monica Bay.

Students learned about ocean pollution and competed for prizes for cleaning up the coastal area.

Last year, over 80,000 volunteers removed a record 1 million pounds of trash on the California coast. Heal the Bay will hold its annual Coastal Cleanup Day at California local beaches on this Saturday, Sep.17.
