Obama Pushes Job Creation Bill

President Obama announced his $447 billion plan to create jobs Monday.

The American Jobs Act includes tax cuts for both employees and employers, as well as spending for infrastructure and job training.

"No games, no politics, no delays," Obama said. "I'm sending this bill to congress today and they ought to pass it immediately."

Obama added that his job plan would mean a boost in education.

"We've got to get teachers back to work, Obama said. "Let's pass this bill and put them in the classroom where they belong."

USC Senior Neilou Mogharabi, an aspiring teacher, backs the job creation bill.

"It's important for teachers to get back in the clasroom to help out our future generations," Mogharabi said.

However, she isn't sure whether the tax cuts will do much in the short term to create jobs.

"I'm not sure how immediate this bill would be acting for people who are trying to get jobs in the now."
