Lohan Late for Community Service
Lindsay Lohan arrived 40 minutes late to her first day of community service Thursday, according to Chief Coroner Craig Harvey. She was supposed to attend a mandatory orientation meeting at 8 a.m. but since she missed it, the county morgue sent her home.
Lohan also spent 13 days in Los Angeles county jail for violating her probation by missing court-ordered alcohol education classes last summer.
A Lohan spokesman said she was late, partly because of some confusion in finding the correct entrance to the morgue.
"With all of the stress and pressure from yesterday and today, I've never been so happy to go to therapy!!!! Also, I'm sorry for the confusion that I may of caused to those at the Coroner's office. Won't happen again, now I know where to go! Thank you for your help," Lohan said, via Twitter.
Assistant Chief Coroner, Ed Winter, said this should have been avoided since Lohan had visited the office before. In addition, the Coroner's office provided Lohan with directions to the correct facilities, according to TMZ.
The Coroner's office will give Lohan another chance to arrive on time Friday.
