Sarah Palin Bows Out of 2012 Presidential Race

Two Republicans have withdrawn from the presidential race in two days.

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin announced her intentions to not seek the GOP nomination for the 2012 elections.

In a letter to her supporters, Palin said she and her husband "devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order."

She said she will continue supporting other public servants to "actively and aggressively help those who will stop the 'fundamental transformation' of our nation and instead seek the restoration of our greatness, our goodness and our constitutional republic based on the rule of law."

Palin's announcement came on the heels of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's decision to also withdraw from GOP consideration. Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and Texas Governor Rich Perry remain as GOP candidates for nomination.
