Images of New Annenberg Building Released

The images reveal what the new building's exterior will look like.

Exterior images of the new USC Annenberg building were released Monday after the designs were approved by the President, donor and board of trustees.

"While these are in no way exact in every detail, they give a good sense of what the building will look like on the exterior and how it will fit in with the rest of the campus surroundings," the Annenberg Executive Building Committee said in an e-mail Monday.

"With this approval, the building committee will continue to focus on the building programming and working with our architect team on the floor plans. We expect to distribute more information on the interior spaces in the next few weeks and months."

Beautiful Architecture! That location needed a red brick, italian romanesque building to fit in with the surrounding buildings. 100X better than the other Annenberg building!

It looks like a Days Inn hotel. A 21st c. Comm & Journ school in a faux ivy league design inspired by The Grove. I'm pretty sure the ivy will be plastic...

Let me get this straight. Someone who uses the word "hella" is commenting on aesthetics?

Um. Okay.

Hella gothic arches. Is the school of communications bringing it back? Way back? I hope the curriculum is a little more progressive than the architecture.

The goal in life isn't to be progressive with every gesture one makes. If you were really thinking "progressively" you'd understand that. The point of the style is to create a visually unified campus. As opposed to a random hodge podge. And this design executes that very well. Do you really need to be in a trendy building to think progressively? Really? Luckily, adults were in charge of making these decisions.

Hella, indeed. That's like, so 10 years ago. (who's bring it way back?)

10 years ago? more like 90 years ago.
Really nice design though. Looks like it should be in upenn.
