L.A. Fire Dept. Issues 'Red Flag Warning'
The Los Angeles Fire Department has issued a "Red Flag Warning" in L.A. County. THe National Weather Service is predicting strong winds and low humidities, which combined with extremely dry fuel can lead to a high risk for fires.
The winds are expected to pick up through the mountains, passes, and canyons from 10:00 p.m. tonight through 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.
The LAFD recommends that citizens in brush areas take precautions by reporting any signs of smoke, using caution when using spark or flame producing machinery, and having a Wildfire Action Plan.
Information on wildfire preparedness can be found on the LAFD website.
