More Sandusky Victims Come Forward

The sex scandal surrounding Penn State's assistant football coach rages on as new victims begin to step forwards.

Sources close to the case have reported that new victims have come forward to police this week, the New York Times reported.

The Times reported that close to 10 victims have come forwards since Sandusky's arrest. Authorities are working to confirm these new allegations.

Thus far, Sandusky has been accused of sexually abusing eight boys over 15 years.

Reports claim Sandusky met all of his victims through a children's charity he created called The Second Mile, which he founded in 1977. The head of the organization, Dr. Jack Raykovitz, has since resigned and has received criticism for not doing more to stop Sandusky.

One victim, who was allegedly raped by Sandusky in 2002, tells a different story than might be expected. In an interview on NBC's "Today," Joe Amendola, Sandusky's attorney, believes he tracked down the man, now in his mid-20s.

According to Amendola, the alleged victim claims that the incident never happened.

According to the grand jury report, Mike McQueary, a graduate assistant to the football team at the time, reported the 2002 incident to team officials but not police.

The Times reports that in another 2002 incident, Raykovitz was informed by Athletic Director Tim Curley of an assault in which Sandusky is suspected of raping a young boy in a shower. Sandusky was subsequently banned from bringing children onto Penn State's campus.

On Monday night, Sandusky told Bob Costas on NBC's "Rock Center" that in retrospect he should have done things differently.

"I have horsed around with kids... I shouldn't have showered with those kids," Sandusky said.

He went on to say that he did not think he was a pedophile though when asked if he was attracted to underage boys, he hesitated and had to repeat the question.

Head Football Coach Joe Paterno and Penn State's President have since been fired by the university's board of trustees.
