Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority Welcomed Back to USC
Greek Sorority Alpha Gamma Delta will return to the Greek Row in the fall of 2013 with the permission of the Panhellenic council.

The council announced Tuesday that Alpha Gamma will become the 12th Panhellenic sorority in the Greek community.
Alpha Gamma will take back its old house from its departure in 1983, which is currently occupied by USC’s architecture fraternity, Alpha Rho Chi. National executives of the new sorority can’t for their homecoming welcome to join the Trojan family yet again.
“To be able to have our organization, once again, join the community and to be a part of USC is exciting,” said Alpha Gamma Executive Director Stephanie Bailey.
USC's Panhellenic council says they look forward to formal recruitment after the addition of the sorority, believing the new chapter will increase participation in the Greek community.
“We are hoping that having a new sorority will create a sense of diversification on the Row,” said Panhellenic Executive Vice President Kelsey Manker. “The new sorority has great Alumni relations and they have a really great philanthropic program that we’re excited to bring to the community.”
Sorority members are all excited for addition of a new sorority as well. According to the Panhellenic council, a record number of girls rushed sororities last year. Now members of other sororities say Alpha Gamma Delta will enhance new rushees' experience.
“I think it will have a positive impact on the Greek community. I think if more girls are able to find a house that fits their personality and be able to connect with like-minded girls then all the power to them,” Panhellenic member Taylor Jolissant said.
