NATO troops mistakengly burned the Quran at a U.S. military base in Bagram Air Field's Disposal Burning Pit.

The burning of the Muslim Holy Book has sparked violent Afghan protests for the past three days.

One Afghan soldier gunned down two American troops and at least five protesters were killed.

The State Department announced another official apology. They reasserted that there is a continuing investigation underway to find the U.S. soldier responsible for the Quran burning.

Al-Marayati confirmed that the U.S. Department of Defense will attend a mosque in Virginia on Friday to express their apology to the Muslim community.
