LAUSD Urged to Investigate Canoga Park Middle School

The attorney involved in the Miramonte child molestation cases addresses new allegations of child abuse.

Attorney Brian Claypool, the lawyer for 11 Miramonte Elementary School families who filed claims against teachers accusing them of child molestation, is holding a press conference Thursday to discuss new child abuse allegations for the LAUSD.

Claypool said that a teacher at Sutter Middle School in Canoga Park reported that a fellow teacher at the school committed acts of child abuse against several students.

Claypool is accusing the school and the LAUSD of "doing nothing to investigate or even report the alleged child abuse to the police."

The LAUSD said they had no comment on pending legislation.

Attorney Claypool intends to address the "code of silence that permeates throught the LAUSD at the cost of children" in his press conference Thursday afternoon.
