Terrorism Talk: One Year Since Bin Laden's Death

The USC event is a part of a series marking one year since the death of Osama Bin Laden.

USC's homeland security center hosted one of the nation's top terrorism experts Thursday to discuss America's response and future strategies against Al-Qaeda threats.

Brian Michael Jenkins is a terrorism expert and an adviser at the Rand Corporation, which helps to improve policy and decision-making through research and analysis.

The lecture focused on what we as Americans have learned about "war and ourselves" since 9/11.

USC's National Center for Risk and Economic Analysis of Terrorism Events is known as USC CREATE. USC CREATE's mission is to "improve our nation's security through the development of advanced models and tools for the evaluation of the risks, costs and consequences of terrorism and to guide economically viable investments in homeland security."
