Expo Line Opens to the Public

Los Angeles residents celebrate the grand opening of the Expo Line at USC.

Members of the Los Angeles community gathered Saturday to celebrate the opening of the new Expo Line.  There was food, music and entertainment for locals at the corner of Exposition Boulevard and Trousdale Parkway.

Free rides are being offered Saturday and Sunday from 5 a.m. to 7p.m. to encourage the use of public transportation.

Metro's goal for the new line is to connect already existing lines in the city, according to Executive Director John Roberts.
