Some students at Piedmont High School were found to be participating in a "Fantasy Slut League" in which male athletes "draft" female students and earn points for having sexual encounters with them.

Piedmont High School principal Rich Kitchens sent a letter to parents Friday explaining to them what had been uncovered.

The letter described varsity players earning "points for documented engagement in sexual activities" with female students who were not aware of the game.

While the "league" had been going on for the past six years school officials were not made aware of it until after a date-rape awareness assembly this month.

Kitchens said the "Fantasy Slut League" has been fully disbanded and that the school does not plan to discipline any of the students involved.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
