Fire Erupts in San Bernardino Forest
As firefighters tend to a wildfire that has now engulfed at least 350 acres of land in the Cajon Pass, officials are now expecting to fully contain the flames by 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
The fire was 60 percent contained as of 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. It originated between the Kenwood and Cleghorn exits of Interstate 15, prompting officials to shut down both the north- and south-bound freeway, but it is now open with right lane closures. California High Patrol cautions drivers in the area to remain careful and prepare for possible delays during rush hours.
Residents in the neighborhood of Mathews Ranch who were forced to evacuate are welcome to return to their homes.
