Gas Prices Continue to Fall

The average price of regular gasoline in Los Angeles county fell nine-tenths of a cent to $3.904 on Monday. The Los Angeles average has decreased 80.1 cents over the past 34 consecutive days and is now at its lowest since Aug. 8.

Prior to the 34-day gradual decrease, the average price rose 50.4 cents in one week, according to the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

While the average Los Angeles price is 78.1 cents lower than it was one month ago, it is still 4.5 cents more than it was one year ago.

In Orange County, the average price of regular gasoline fell for the 35th consecutive day. At $3.849, it is now at its lowest since Aug. 3. Over the past 35 days, the average has decreased 84.1 cents. It previously reached a record high of $4.69 on Oct. 8.

Orange County's average price is 1.5 cents more than it was last year despite the 80.6 cent decrease in October.
