Gas Prices at Southland Pumps Still Falling
Over the past 48 days, the average Los Angeles County price has dropped 90.4 cents after reaching a record high of $4.705 on Oct. 9.
On Sunday alone, the average price dropped two-tenths of a cent, according to the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price in Los Angeles is 51.2 cents lower than it was last month, but still 7.4 cents more than it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price decreased Monday for the 49th consecutive day. At $3.764, it is at its lowest price since July 20.
Over the past 49 days, the average price dropped 92.6 cents from its record high of $4.69 on Oct. 8.
Orange Country's average price is still 5.9 cents more than it was one year ago, but has fallen 51.1 cents since October.
The southland's average gas price has not consistently dropped for so long since the 52-day streak that ended in July.
