Officials are already calling for more emergency resources to provide aid to those who have been trapped in their homes for days. The National Guard has helped New Jersey to provide aid to the area's most basic needs, but according to Joel Mestre, the city's deputy office of emergency management coordinator, many more troops are needed for a full recovery.

LADWP has said they will mobilize a team to help in the relief efforts. Although it is not known exactly when that team will leave for the Northeastern area, the wiill also be sending equipment to aid the suffering cities.
