Protesters Speak out Against World's Wealthiest Man
Protesters gathered outside the California Public Utilities Commission building demanding an investigaion be started against Carlos Slim, the wealthiest man in the world. Slim made his fortune from his telecommunications company in Mexico called Tracfone, which has over four million customers worldwide.
Protesters were specifically outraged over Slim's acquisition of Simple Mobile in June. According to the protesters, Slim owes back fees from a government assistance program that the company takes part in.
