VIDEO: Otter Learns to Slam Dunk

Eddie the sea otter resides at an Oregon zoo and he's considered the most athletic marine mammal around.

Last year, Eddie was taught how to slam dunk a basketball - and now, he rarely misses an attempt.

Zookeepers taught the soon-to-be 16 year-old how to play hoops to improve an arthritic condition in Eddie's elbows. Dunking a basketball helps exercise his joints by keeping them moving and flexible.

Otters seem to defy the trajectory of human basketball players, who typically cease attempts to slam dunk with the onset of arthritis.
