The tweet falsely stated that there were two explosions at the White House and that President Barack Obama was injured.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said at a press conference that the President is fine and he was just with him.

"Anything that was just sent out about any incident at the White House is obviously false and we will be putting out something shortly to clarify that if that hasn't happened already."

The Associated Press has suspended their Twitter account until they correct the issue.
