The event is sponsored by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, USC's QuASA, LGBT Center, and Qpid.me.

It is luau themed and features a free smart-phone application called Qpid.me for sharing the results.

Testing begins at 10 a.m. and goes until 4 p.m.

The month is dedicated to spreading information and awareness about sexual health and disease prevention.

The Center for Disease Control wants other organizations to join in on the cause. Their website provides several statistical banners and graphics that people can upload to their websites and social media accounts.

Twenty million new STD's are transmitted each year, and half of the cases are found among young people ages 15-24 according to a report from the CDC.

Many organizations are launching special efforts to increase the buzz around STD'S.

The Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention team is promoting in STD Awareness Month by offering testing and treatment every Monday during the month of April.

USC offers several resources for students to learn how to prevent disease or treat themselves after contracting one.
