Ron Jeremy Talks Adult Films at SCA

Guests will include Ron Jeremy and Vivid Entetrainment's Allie Haze and Steven Hirsch.

The USC School of Cinematic Arts will host a discussion about pornography with some of the prominent names in the adult film industry.

On Thursday night, SCA will host "An Evening with the Adult Film Industry." Guests include veteran film actor Ron Jeremy, Vivid Entertainment founder and co-chairman Steven Hirsch, and former Vivid contract star Allie Haze.

Just some of the topics to be discussed include the shifting cultural attitudes toward sexual representations, the recently passed Measure B requiring porn actors to wear condoms, the role of pornography in innovating the new consumer technologies and much more.

The night will begin with a screening of the 2001 documentary feature starring Jeremy called "Porn Star: The Legen of Ron Jeremy." The audience will then watch a brief excerpt from Vivid's "Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody." And then the topic gets California-specific as they watch a parody about Measure B from FunnyOrDie.com.

Event organizers encourage students to arrive with critical, cultural and creative questions about the industry for the panel.

The event will be held in the Ray Stark Family Theatre. It is free and exclusively open to USC students, faculty and staff.
