Final Days of the Michael Jackson Wrongful Death Trial
A lawyer for Michael Jackson's family blamed entertainment conglomerate AEG Live for pushing Jackson to be ready for his concert tour. The accusations came during Tuesday's closing arguments of the Jackson trial.
The pop star's mother, Katherine Jackson, accuses AEG Live of being responsible for negligently hiring Dr. Conrad Murray as the personal physician for her son.
Jackson died in June 2009, of acute propofol intoxication while under Murray's care. Murray is now serving four years for supplying Jackson with propofol as a sleeping aid without proper precautions or monitoring.
The testimony of more than 50 witnesses concluded on Friday in the 21-week case looking into AEG Live's carelessness in hiring, supervising and retaining Murray.
AEG has denied any fault in the case, claiming that it was Michael Jackson who hired Murray.
Final arguments will continue Wednesday when AEG Live's attorneys will make their closing statements. The plaintiffs will make their final summation on Thursday.
Finally, this waste of taxpayer's $ is coming to an end. What a waste of time and effort to show the world what we already know; Michael was a talented artist with a drug addiction. Katherine is hoping against hope to make money with this. Another shameful attempt on cashing in on MJ's death, kinda like the illegal Jackson Tribute Fragrances by Joe Jackson and French crook Julian Rouas... http://jacksontributefragrances.blogspot.com
