USPS Proposes Stamp Price Increase

The USPS announced Wendesday that stamp prices may increase by three cents.

The United States Postal Service said Wednesday it wants to charge three more cents for stamps.

By raising the price to 49 cents per stamp, USPS hopes they can make up for their losses -- officials say they are expected to lose about $6 billion this year.

The increase in stamp price must be approved by the Postal Regulatory Commission before being enacted.
