Family members of a missing man diagnosed with mental retardation asked the public for help Monday morning to find him.

Rakeem Taylor, 27, is diagnosed with schizophrenia. His family said he has mental capacity of a 10-12 year old.

Taylor was last seen on Friday on the intersection of Cadillac Avenue and La Cienega Boulevard, according to family members.

His grandmother, Gloria William, said that he has been off his medication since Thursday, but assured the public that he is completely harmless and should not be seen as dangerous.

Police are urging anyone with information about Taylor to call 911.

There is a $1,000 reward offered to anyone who finds him.
