Khmer Rouge Trial Closing Arguments Begin

The trial comes almost 40 years after the regime killed a generation of Cambodian people through genocide.

Closing arguments began Wednesday in the trial of two surviving leaders of Cambodia's Khmer Rouge regime.

The trial comes almost 40 years after the regime destroyed a generation of Cambodian people through genocide.

USC student Nora Snyder studied genocide and conflict resolution in Cambodia.

Snyder told ATVN that the victims of the deadly regime have been seeking resolution for decades.

However, Snyder added that support for the tiral is not absolute -- the tribunal process and its cost have prompted criticism among some survivors.
