Conference Addresses Veterans' Issues

A national conference was held at USC to address issues with veterans' services.

L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti, the California Secretary of Veteran Affairs, and other local politicians including South Gate City Councilman Bill De Witt addressed the needs of returning veterans at a USC conference Tuesday.

The aims of the conference were to bring awareness to the issues impacting veterans such as homelessness, unemployment, and mental health.
