Bryan Barnes and Javier Bolden plead not guilty to killing two 23-year-old graduate students near USC's University Park campus.

Ming Qu and Ying Wu, electrical engineering students, were sitting inside a parked car on a residential avenue when they were gunned to death.

Based on evidence found at the scene, Barnes and Bolden were also linked to an earlier shooting in South Los Angeles.

The arraignment was held Thursday morning, and no cameras were allowed.

The District Attorney's Office says both Barnes and Bolden are being held without bail at Men's Central Jail and at the North County Correctional Institute respectively.
