JPL Begins Its Two-Day NASA Social
The Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) began its two-day NASA Social where 100 social media followers were randomly picked from online registrations to take part in facility tours and have the chance to interact with both scientists and engineers.
The event is meant to help promote both NASA and JPL's roles in the study of Earth and will preview three Earth-observing missions JPL is getting ready to launch.
Veronica McGregor, the manager of news and social media at JPL, talked about the benefits of this event.
Chip Burge, an engineer from Atlanta, Georgia, was one of the social media followers attending the event.
