LA Mayor Leads Veterans Day Parade

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti served as the Grand Marshal during the 2013 San Fernando Valley Veterans Day Parade.
He is the only elected official that has served as the Grand Marshal because he is a veteran himself, having served as a lieutenant in the Naval Reserve.
The parade started Monday morning at the corner of Laurel Canyon and San Fernando Mission boulevards and ended at the Ritchie Valens Recreation Center with an information fair.
It started at 11:11 a.m. as a representation of World War I ending on November 11th in 1918.
